Newspaper design (exercise)


Newspaper design layout




































This is a rough layout of newspaper design. No offense, illustration are for assignment purpose. The following elements have being used:
Masthead: (nameplate), publication name with publication number and etc.
    Hammer: headline with effects. "On Duty" in different color to emphasize
       the word.
    Cutline: caption under picture
    Slug: side bar with different stories
    Ad Banner: Advertisement
    Font: Serif (Headline), San Serif (Publication name)
    Jump: Story leads to another page, "See page 3"
    Leading: Space beterrn lines
    Kerning: Space beterrn letters
    Space: Space between words
